Quinn Curtis

Vice President Mobile Solutions

Quinn Curtis has had a successful career in the software industry for over 15 years, working at companies ranging in size from five person startups to the Microsoft Corporation. Prior to founding BrightCloud, Mr. Curtis was the Director, Product Management at Websense, Inc. (WBSN). In that role he restructured the scope of his team, creating Websense's first product marketing team, and was responsible for the product management and OEM partner relations teams. Mr. Curtis also served as Director, Software Applications at Widcomm, Inc. where he worked with an outsourced development team to bring Bluetooth applications to market. Mr. Curtis spent almost 9 years at Microsoft Corporation, working as a product manager on the team that built and launched the first version of Microsoft Exchange, as a Business Development Manager in the Internet Commerce and BackOffice Business Units, and in the Multinational OEM Group negotiating deals of almost $1Billion in size with hardware vendors. Mr. Curtis served six years in the United States Navy as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Surface Line Officer. He holds an M.A. in International Affairs from the George Washington University and a B.S. from the United States Naval Academy.

Ron Hegli

Chief Technical Officer, Hosted Security Services

Ron Hegli has over 20 years experience leading engineering teams in the design and development of enterprise security software. Mr. Hegli has served in the Vice President, Engineering and Chief Architect roles at Websense, Inc. (WBSN). At Websense, Mr. Hegli was instrumental in developing the organization, processes, and product architecture to support Websense's Initial Public Offering in March 2000. He grew the engineering team from 20 to over 100 people during his tenure, and delivered Websense's flagship product which enabled Websense to grow to over $111 million in annual billings, serving more than 20,000 customers. Mr Hegli has also served as Vice President, Engineering at Akonix Systems Inc., and at TriTeal, Inc., managing the launch of its first product and guiding growth of the development organization for more than four years. Mr. Hegli started his career with General Electric Company as an Edison Engineer, and was a principal engineer with Digital Equipment Corporation. He also served as director of product programs for San Diego-based Nuera Communications Inc., a carrier-class IP telephony solutions provider. Mr. Hegli holds a B.S. in Nuclear Engineering from Oregon State University and a M.S. in Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley.

Hal Lonas

Senior Director, Development Hosted Security Services

Hal Lonas has over 20 years experience in building enterprise software products and high performance engineering teams. Mr. Lonas was the Director of Software Development at Websense, Inc. (WBSN) for 4 years, responsible for the re-design and development of Websense's flagship product line, Websense Enterprise 5.0, and growing the development team threefold to 50 development engineers while revenues grew to over $100 million. Mr. Lonas has also served as the Vice President of Research and Development at ADP's Computerized Vehicle Registration business unit, delivering automated DMV interface transaction systems and growing the business from 13 to 22 states and from $32 M to $53M in transaction revenue. The CVR software product is installed in 7500 automotive dealerships nationwide. Mr. Lonas has also held key engineering management positions with ACCEL Technologies, Optigraphics Corporation, and MA/COM Linkabit, and has co-authored 2 patents. Mr. Lonas holds a B.S. in Aeronautics and Astronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
